MPM 2D: Properties of a Triangle. Page 124-125 #1 to 4
MBF 3C: Continued work on parabola translations. Reviewed the concepts of vertical compression/stretch, open upward/downward, sliding on y-axis, and vertex. Introduced vertex movement along the x-axis. This was reinforced by connecting ordered pairs on the Cartesian grid and using the graphing calculator. Students were assigned page 200-201 #2,4,5 and to be handed in for marking.

MPM 2D: Introduced properties of triangles. Examined how to verify parallel lines. No homework, but it was suggested to attempt Page 124 #2 c,d
MBF 3C: Class was required to hand in Parabola seat work from Page 175 #7, 9, & 10. As a class we completed several examples using graphing calculators and graphing on paper. Also, we examined how parabolas are transformed by sliding along the y-axis, upward/downward opening, maximum/minimum point (Vertex), and vertical compression/vertical stretch. Seat work was Page 194 #4,5,6,7.
